Apple's 11th Birthday

It’s Apple’s 11th birthday!!! My parents adopted Apple spring of my freshman year of college, when Apple was just 5. It’s crazy how fast time flies by. I came home to visit them with my boyfriend at the time for Easter weekend and got to meet her then. She came jumping into my arms and it was love at first sight. ;) She became fast friends with our dog, Chloe, and wouldn’t even go outside unless Chloe was right there with her. Before my parents got Apple, she was a therapy dog. Unfortunately I don’t know what she specialized in, but I’m sure she was great at it. She is the calmest dog I’ve ever met by far. Even the friends I have that “aren’t dog people” or are scared of dogs love her. She’s not much of a water dog like Chloe was, so for her birthday I took her to the farmer’s market and to a sunflower field because wherever there are lots of people, Apple is right at home. She walks up to strangers just for a pet wherever we go and is always ready to love on them. Here’s to 11 years, Apple! <3
