Skincare Journey
During the quarantine, I was “influenced” to use one those derma rollers.. my skin had no issues at the time (just a few active breakouts), but I totally just fell for it and ever since have been trying to get rid of scarring from it.
It quite literally just spread the bacteria to other places on my face. February of 2021 I was so fed up with my skin, unsure of what products to use to help it, and quite frankly had no idea my diet correlated as much as it did. I got my first chemical peel February 2, 2021. Chemical peels are a great start to boost that natural process by speeding up cell turnover and removing the dull, dry top layers to reveal brighter, healthier skin underneath. If you’re concerned about fine lines, wrinkles, texture, and hyperpigmentation, I highly recommend a chemical peel. Your esthetician will help you determine which level or peel intensity is right for your skin.
I started incorporating a retinol into my skincare routine around this time, which increases skin cell production. Retinol also exfoliates your skin and increases collagen production, which can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, giving your skin a fresher, plump appearance, but also dry you out if you’re on too high of a percentage.
I recommend asking to use the Visia machine if you go to an OVME in order to see how your skin has improved over the course of your treatments.
Had to include this hilarious picture of Grandma Doris and I with our Miraco Beauty Hydra+ Deep Hydration Face Masks with GHK-Cu (Copper Peptide) & Collagen masks on. Tap here to shop Miraco Beauty + use code CAROLINE10
This was my skincare lineup in 2021! It’s changed a little bit since then as my skin has changed. To shop my skincare routine, click here.
This pic was taken after going to see Delaney at OVME Green Hills for a platinum Hydrafacial. I love these so much to achieve beautiful results instantly + deep hydration.
Right after a fresh chemical peel! I did a level 3 peel here, so they are recommended for moderate to severe skin concerns and require minimal downtime.
This was a few days later when the peeling began. You don’t really want to wear face makeup or go out in public for a bit just to let your skin breathe.
This was taken shortly after getting another chemical peel. They recommend to do a series of chemical peels to achieve the best results.
You can tell I’ve started to peel here about 2 days post treatment.

I decided to try 3 treatments of micro-needling. Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure that is used to encourage collagen production using small, sterilized needles. They numb your face with numbing cream beforehand, so it doesn’t hurt as bad but it’s definitely not comfortable. It helps improve the appearance of scars, acne, and wrinkles. This was right after the service.

Grandma Doris and I using the S-Cell Super Serum from Miraco Beauty. We love this stuff because it’s filled with peptides, collagen, and ceramides! It helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines, promote elasticity and increase collagen. We both use it day and night under moisturizer.
